BIMS – Industry Interface performs the following activities:

Memberships

AII is also responsible for creating alliances with various Associations/ Bodies of the employers/ other similar agencies with a view to derive working relationships and to develop and reciprocate matching competency.

Academic Alliances

AII facilitates the process of curriculum development as per professional needs of the industry to make it more dynamic and job oriented. BIMS has associated itself with various tech-application companies by exposing the students to sessions from Industry Experts and hands on experience on state-of-the-art tools and licensed software.

Research and Development

AII explores the potential areas of Research depending on the needs/ projections of the respective Sectors of the Industry. BIMS and “Industry” work collectively for the development of R and D Centre to infuse influences and best practices of Industry to restructure Academia.

BIMS students work under the supervision of Expert Faculty and guidance of “Industry” in the development of Projects. Hands-on educational experience at BIMS emphasizes interdependency between theory (e.g. design) & application (e.g. manufacturing/product realization) in a business environment

Industrial Consultancy

AII explores the possibility of the University entering into niche specific alliances and give inputs to the senior formation and to assist them in competence mapping of the in house capabilities of the University.

Continuing education program for Industry

BIMS can develop courses for industrial employees as continuing education program. The curriculum of programs can be structured as per the industry’s need in the following format:

  • Short term training programs
    1. Duration of the program will be 1 to 4 days.
    2. Offered at a Centralized Location.
    3. Targeted at Middle and High Level Managers.
  • Skill up gradation courses
    1. Joint Curricula and Pedagogy Development considering requirement of Industry.
    2. Up gradation of Degree which may lead to Diploma or a Certificate.
    3. Can be on site or University premise based on course and number of enrollments.
    4. Period of the program can be decided jointly.
